Trouble Logging In?
If you are having trouble logging in to the Grand Lodge website (https://freemasons.ab.ca), you may
- have forgotten your password
- not have an account on the Grand Lodge website
Lost/Forgotten Password
Before asking that your password be reset, there are several steps that you should take:
- Check your Grand Lodge Number. It is on your Dues Card. If you have lost or misplaced your Dues Card, ask your lodge secretary for a copy of it.
- Ensure that the exclamation mark “!” is included between your GL Number and your surname
- Ensure that there are no spaces or special characters, and only the first letter of your surname is capitalized.
You Do Not Have a Website Account
When the website was created, accounts were created for all members who were in good standing, had an email address, and had no unexpected data in their record.
When new members are raised to Master Mason, the lodge secretary is expected to send a request to the Grand Secretary that an account be created on the Grand Lodge website for the newly raised Master Mason. Similarly, if a member affiliates from another jurisdiction, the lodge secretary is expected to request that an account be created for the affiliating member. The requests to the Grand Secretary must contain at least the Mason’s name, Grand Lodge Number, and acknowledgement that the member is in good standing.
If you do not have an account, you must ask your lodge secretary to make a request to the Grand Secretary that an account be created for you. You will be notified by email when an account is created.
In this time of Identity Theft and cyber attacks from “bad actors”, the approval for creation of new accounts must come from the Grand Secretary, the Webmaster does not have the authority to create accounts without proper approval.
